Cookie Policy

1. What this page covers
This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage that jeenys.my uses, what each one does, and how you can control them. A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. We also use two related browser features - local storage and session storage - which work in much the same way, and they are listed here for completeness.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are needed for the site to work. Without them you could not stay signed in or keep items in your basket, so they cannot be switched off from the cookie banner. They are not used to build a profile of you or to track you across other websites.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| sb-… (Supabase authentication) | Keeps you signed in and lets the site load your own account, orders and coupons. Set only after you sign in or create an account. | Until you sign out, or the session expires |
| jeenys_cookie_consent | Records whether you accepted or chose necessary-only cookies, so the cookie banner is not shown to you again. | 1 year |
3. Functional browser storage
These are not cookies in the strict sense - they are stored by your browser and never sent to our servers - but they serve the same kind of purpose, so we list them plainly here. They remember your basket and the notices you have already closed. Session storage is cleared automatically when you close the tab.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| jeenys-cart | Holds the items in your basket so they are still there when you come back or refresh the page. | Until you clear your browser storage |
| jeenys_popup_seen | Remembers that you have already seen the welcome offer, so it is not shown repeatedly. | Until you clear your browser storage |
| loaderSeen | Marks that the opening animation has played, so it is skipped for the rest of your visit. | Until you close the browser tab |
| promoBannerDismissed | Remembers that you closed the promotional bar at the top of the page. | Until you close the browser tab |
| shippingBarDismissed | Remembers that you closed the shipping-threshold bar shown at the bottom of the page. | Until you close the browser tab |
4. Analytics and marketing cookies
We do not currently use any analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. No third-party measurement or advertising scripts are loaded on this site today. If that changes, we will only load them for visitors who have chosen Accept in the cookie banner, and we will update this page to name each one before doing so.
5. Cookies set by payment and delivery partners
When you pay for an order, the payment step is handled by Razorpay Curlec, which may set its own cookies to process the transaction and prevent fraud. Some pages embed content from third parties - a Google Map on the contact page, and video from YouTube or Instagram in recipe and creator sections - and those services may set cookies when their content loads. Those cookies are governed by the privacy and cookie policies of the companies concerned, not by this one.
6. How to control cookies
The cookie banner appears the first time you visit. Choosing Accept allows the optional cookies described in section 4 if and when they are introduced. Choosing Necessary only limits us to the strictly necessary cookies in section 2. Your choice is remembered for a year in the jeenys_cookie_consent cookie; to be asked again, delete that cookie in your browser settings.
You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser. Every major browser - Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge - lets you view stored cookies, delete them for a single site, and refuse new ones. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies listed above will stop you from signing in or completing an order, and clearing your browser storage will empty your basket.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
